Privacy policy

Last updated 29 September 2026

Vecturo is run by Evoke Travel Management Pty Ltd, an Australian company (“Vecturo”, “we”, “us”). This policy covers our website at www.vecturohq.com, the Vecturo platform that chauffeur companies use to take bookings and dispatch trips, and the Vecturo Driver app for iPhone and Android.

We handle personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

Chauffeur companies and Vecturo

The chauffeur companies that use Vecturo (we call them operators) decide what they collect about their passengers and drivers and what they do with it. We store and process that information for them, to run the service they have signed up for. If you ride with an operator or drive for one, that operator is responsible for your trip and account details. Questions about a booking or a driver account usually go to the operator first. We will help them answer, and you are always welcome to contact us directly.

What we collect

On our website

If you join the early access list, we collect your email address. Our web server keeps standard request logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested). The site uses no analytics or advertising cookies. Embedded videos load from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced domain, and only after you press play.

On the Vecturo platform

  • Operator staff: name, email address, phone number and sign-in activity.
  • Passengers and bookers: name, contact details, pickup and drop-off addresses, flight details, trip notes and preferences, messages with the driver, and the history of their trips. This comes from you, from the operator, or from a booking partner (for example a travel platform) that passes a booking to the operator. Card payments are handled by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers.
  • Drivers: the operator creates each driver’s account with their name, email address and phone number. The app section below covers what the Vecturo Driver app adds.

In the Vecturo Driver app

  • Sign-in. Your email address, to send you a one-time sign-in code.
  • Location, including in the background. While you are on duty, the app sends your precise location to your operator’s dispatch. During a live trip, that is about every 10 seconds. Between trips, while a vehicle is assigned to you, it is every 3 minutes (every 30 seconds for the first 30 minutes after a drop-off). The app also attaches your position to each trip status update. Location sharing stops when you go off duty. Your phone shows that location is in use while this runs.
  • Trip activity. Accepting or declining trips (with your reason), each trip stage, completion notes, extra stops, wait explanations and child seat confirmations.
  • Photos and videos you choose to send. Your licence, accreditation and vehicle papers with their expiry dates, vehicle inspection photos, screenshots attached to app feedback, and photos or short videos for your operator’s social media. On iPhone, videos include sound, which is why the app asks for the microphone. Photos from your library are picked with the system photo picker, so the app only sees the items you select.
  • Messages with passengers. Messages you send in trip chat pass through an automated spelling and grammar tidy-up (Google Gemini) before they are delivered.
  • Availability and preferences. Your weekly hours, date overrides and notification choices.
  • Push notifications. A push token for your device. Notification text, such as a passenger’s message, travels through Apple’s or Google’s push service.
  • Diagnostics. On iPhone: app state, battery level, charging and Low Power Mode, device temperature state, memory warnings and the reasons iOS closed the app. These do not include location coordinates. On Android: crash reports through Firebase Crashlytics (device model, Android version, app version and an installation identifier).
  • Maps and address search. On iPhone, route maps, travel times and address search use Apple Maps. On Android, map images load from OpenStreetMap. Addresses you type when adding a stop are looked up with Photon by komoot, which receives the search text and the trip’s area.

The app shows no ads, does not track you across other apps or websites, and has no advertising or analytics software built in.

How we use it

We use personal information to run the platform for operators: taking bookings, dispatching and tracking trips, keeping passengers informed, sending sign-in codes and notifications, handling payments and invoices, supporting operators and drivers, keeping the service secure, and fixing problems. We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for advertising.

Who sees it

  • The operator you ride with or drive for sees what the platform holds about its own trips, passengers and drivers.
  • Passengers and bookers see their driver’s name, phone number, vehicle and live position during their trip, on the tracking page or in the operator’s customer app.
  • Booking partners that sent a trip to the operator receive the driver’s name, phone number, vehicle, trip status and, for some partners, the driver’s live position during that trip.
  • Service providers that help us run Vecturo, listed below. They may only use the information to provide their service to us.
  • Authorities, where the law requires it.

If an operator connects another service to Vecturo (for example accounting software), we send that service the information the operator asks us to.

Where it is stored and overseas disclosure

Our servers, database and file storage are in Google Cloud’s Sydney region. Some service providers are overseas:

  • Google Cloud, website hosting and early access sign-ups: United States
  • Google Maps Platform (maps, addresses, travel times): United States and other countries
  • Google Gemini (chat tidy-up and other automated features): United States and other countries
  • Google Firebase (Android notifications and crash reports): United States
  • Apple (iPhone notifications, Apple Maps travel times): United States
  • Postmark (email delivery, including sign-in codes): United States
  • Stripe (payments): United States
  • Sentry (error monitoring for our servers, with personal details turned off): Germany
  • OpenStreetMap Foundation (Android map images): United Kingdom and other countries
  • komoot (Android address search): Germany

Security

Information travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS). It is encrypted at rest by our cloud provider, and some personal fields are also encrypted inside our database. Access is limited to the operator’s own staff and the people who run Vecturo. The driver app keeps its sign-in token in the phone’s secure storage (the iOS Keychain or Android encrypted storage). No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell affected people and the regulator about an eligible data breach as the law requires.

How long we keep it

  • Raw driver location points: 14 days. The route of each completed trip is kept with the trip record.
  • Trip records, messages and documents: for as long as the operator keeps them. Operators often have tax and legal reasons to keep trip records for years.
  • Photos and videos for social media: until the operator deletes them, or about 30 days after the operator stops using the social media feature.
  • iPhone diagnostic events: 30 days. Android crash reports: 90 days.
  • App feedback: in our support mailbox until it is no longer needed.
  • Driver app sign-ins end after 30 days without use.

Otherwise, we delete or de-identify personal information once it is no longer needed for the purposes above or to meet a legal obligation.

Access, correction and deletion

Email support@vecturohq.com to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. We will confirm who you are, involve the operator where the information is theirs, and reply within 30 days. Drivers can use our driver account deletion page. We may need to keep some records where the law requires it.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information, email support@vecturohq.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are still not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

Children

Vecturo is a business service. It is not aimed at children, and the Vecturo Driver app is for adult professional drivers.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
